Article Submission Guidelines
Important Update
As from March 2011, I will no longer accept articles for publication containing html code to change the font, style or look of the article. The ‘house style’ of this site is, ‘as it is’ and I want all articles published on it to be cohesive with the theme. If you are not happy to accept this, please do not submit your article or it WILL be rejected, I do not have time (or the will) to strip out all this additional code.
1. Articles must be original. We use Copyscape to check for duplicate content or plagiarism.
2. Articles must be a minimum of 300 words, excluding the title. There is no maximum word-count limit but around 1,000 words is probably the upper limit unless you have very detailed information to convey – in which case, you might consider splitting your article into two separate ones.
3. Articles may contain up to 2 external links within the article text.
4. Articles can be on any topic, except the following:
• Discriminatory topics: we will not publish any articles that discriminate against or disparage any group. This includes, but is not limited to, ethnic groups, GLBT, mentally or physically handicapped people. No hate language EVER.
• Exploitative topics: we will not publish any article that contains information about or that could lead to the exploitation of any group of people.
• Immoral topics
• Illegal topics
• Gambling topics
• Pornographic topics or anything we deem to be of an overtly sexual nature.
• Any topic that we deem to be deceptive, or that contains blatantly false or highly unlikely claims
Note: How Do I Find Out How To, reserves the right to decline any article submitted to us.
Further, How Do I Find Out How To, reserves the right to:
• Edit articles for clarity if necessary and to correct errors such as typos or grammatical errors if an article is deemed to be worthy of inclusion. You can increase the likelihood of acceptance, by proofreading your article and running it through a basic spell-checker before submitting.
• Edit articles to add relevant information and advertising.
• Edit articles to include an internal link to other articles and information of interest within the How Do I Find Out article directory.
How do I submit my article?
To submit an article, if you are a TKA user, submit through the Postrunner sytem. Otherwise, please use the contact us form in the first instance, providing your contact email information and we will send you details of how to make your submission.
Accepted articles will normally appear on How Do I Find Out To within 5 working days and we will send you a confirmation email with the link.
